INNODEV Partners with Life Makers Foundation
Egypt to Deliver Vocational Training for Refugees
and Host Communities in Greater Cairo
INNODEV has partnered with Life Makers Foundation Egypt to deliver a vocational training program supporting livelihoods and economic inclusion for refugees, asylum seekers, and host community members (ages 16–59) across Greater Cairo Governorate, with at least 70% of participants being women.
Under the agreement, INNODEV is responsible for the full training cycle: designing curricula and training kits, sourcing and vetting qualified trainers, providing venues and equipment, and delivering both theoretical and hands-on instruction — each standard course runs 40 hours over 10 days, with 60–70% practical training. INNODEV also manages pre- and post-training assessments, beneficiary documentation, certification, and reporting, applying safeguarding, gender-responsive, and social-inclusion standards throughout.
The program builds on INNODEV's track record delivering job-ready vocational tracks — from small business management and e-commerce to digital marketing, tailoring, hospitality, and technical trades — developed through its WFP-funded UP-Skills program, which has already reached over 2,800 beneficiaries across four governorates.
INNODEV Awarded Training Contract by Misr El Kheir Foundation for Refugee Education Project
INNODEV has been awarded General Tender No. 6/2026 by Misr El Kheir Foundation to deliver a large-scale capacity-building program under the EU co-funded “Fair and Safe Access to Education Services for Migrants, Refugees, and Asylum Seekers in Host Communities” project.
Under this contract, INNODEV will deliver 91 training days to 550 participants across 21 groups in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, and Aswan, covering three core areas:
Arabic literacy skills for teachers, addressing core reading and writing competencies
Numeracy skills for teachers, addressing core mathematics competencies
Safeguarding and protection policies for school staff, focused on preventing abuse, combating harassment, and strengthening reporting mechanisms
The program supports educators, administrators, and school staff working directly with refugee and host-community students, reinforcing INNODEV’s ongoing commitment to inclusive, quality education across Egypt.
